Interim Entombment

February 6, 1939 – February 20, 2026

It is in deep sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Dorotea “Kan Teya” Dolores Valle.

Kan Teya is deeply loved and will be missed by her family and a large extended community of friends.  Her kindness, helpfulness, and being loving and caring for her family will be missed by everyone.

Kan Teya’s early life began in Taytay Rizal, Philippines where she lived with her parents, four brothers and five sisters.  She moved to Winnipeg in the early 70’s where she found a home in the garment industry.

Kan Teya created a beautiful life.  She had the opportunity to become a mother to her niece and nephew.  In the Philippines, all her nieces and nephews and grandchildren called her Mommy Teya.

Kan Teya is survived by her daughter and son, brothers and sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews and grandchildren here in Canada and back in the Philippines.
