The Sacraments are powerful signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us.
An outward sign to give us God’s grace and a commitment to live in a manner worthy of the gift as intentional disciples of Christ.
Our children’s faith formation process provides many opportunities for our young members to journey toward full initiation into the life of the church. Our Wednesday evening fall and winter sessions gives our young members opportunity to deepen their life in Jesus, his church and the sacramental gifts that bind us together.
Our adult track offers the catechumenate experience for adults who have not been baptized into the Christian life and now are seeking membership in the Catholic Church through baptism, confirmation and eucharist.
For those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition and now seek membership in the catholic church, our “into full communion” experience provides opportunity for adults to come to full life with the catholic church through the sacraments of confirmation and eucharist.
Infant Baptisms at St. Gianna’s Parish
The celebration of Infant Baptism is always an extraordinary event at St. Gianna’s. Celebrated within the context of the Sunday liturgy, it is truly a transformative event. If you are a registered parishioner of St. Gianna’s and wish to celebrate your baby’s Baptism in this community, you are asked to participate in a baptismal formation session in preparation for the baptismal event. Below are the upcoming celebrations planned for 2018, along with their formation sessions. To request baptism, please contact the parish office or see Fr. Darrin in person. The next Baptism celebration will be on:
- June 3rd – Baptismal Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. liturgy. Baptismal formation for this celebration will be held on May 26th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
***All baptismal preparation sessions will be held in the lower level meeting room of the church.
