The Sacraments are powerful signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us.
An outward sign to give us God’s grace and a commitment to live in a manner worthy of the gift as intentional disciples of Christ.

Our children’s faith formation process provides many opportunities for our young members to journey toward full initiation into the life of the church. Our Wednesday evening fall and winter sessions gives our young members opportunity to deepen their life in Jesus, his church and the sacramental gifts that bind us together.

Our adult track offers the catechumenate experience for adults who have not been baptized into the Christian life and now are seeking membership in the Catholic Church through baptism, confirmation and eucharist.

For those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition and now seek membership in the catholic church, our “into full communion” experience provides opportunity for adults to come to full life with the catholic church through the sacraments of confirmation and eucharist.

Faith Formation Process

‘Word of Life’ – Family Faith Formation & Sacramental Preparation
This September, we begin a New Family Faith Formation Process for parishioners with children Grade 1-6, and for those preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
* Children preparing for a Sacramental celebration will only be accepted into the Faith Formation process in SEPTEMBER 2023.

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
Preparing to receive God’s forgiveness and the Body and Blood of Jesus through the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and Eucharist for the first time is an exciting time.  It is filled with faith, learning and fun as they come to deepen their relationship with God.  All baptized parishioners who are in 2nd grade and higher are invited to begin the formal preparation to receive these Sacraments.

Confirmation at St. Gianna’s Parish
Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is open to active, registered parishioners who are in 6th grade and higher.
