OPEN HOUSE: LIVING WATERS COLUMBARIUM
November 27, 2021
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
An opportunity to visit and learn more about Living Waters Columbarium will be held on Saturday, November 27 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. The wearing of masks and physical distancing is required.
The first of its kind in Canada, Living Waters Columbarium offers over 2700 niches, comprised of niches designed to accommodate one to nine urns, along with one remaining family Chapel.
So many of our Columbarium Families have shared with us on how warm and inviting and prayerful the columbarium is to them. Their beloved dead are part of a faith filled Catholic Christian Community within the walls of St. Gianna’s Church and are remembered within our Eucharistic Celebration.
In the churches tradition, the month of November is dedicated in a special way to the remembering of our beloved dead and assisting them with our prayers and intercessions.
For those who may have the cremated remains of a loved one at home, we encourage you to take this opportunity to see if the Columbarium would be a place of entombment for your loved one.
Let us remember the words of Pope Francis, “By burying or entombing the bodies of the faithful, the Church confirms her faith in the resurrection of the body, and intends to show the great dignity of the human body as an integral part of the human person whose body forms part of their identity. Cremated remains must be treated in the same way as a body for burial and are not to be kept at home or scattered.”
SPECIAL CELEBRATION:
On November 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., a special celebration will take place for all who wish to have the cremated remains of a loved one entombed in Living Waters at that time. To learn more about this opportunity, please contact Living Waters Columbarium before November 18, 2021 at 204-488-3977 or email [email protected]
